Congrats to Sunburst’s newest #ShareYourShutters winner: Chelsey Rushworth! Her winning submission to #ShareYourShutters highlights a few spots in her home decorated with stunning new Polywood plantation shutters that beautifully complement both her ornate window frames and modern decor.

Chelsey, better known on Instagram as Taste of Coffey, is a Boston-based home designer who definitely has an eye for color in her home design. Just one look at her photos shows how she combines whites, off-whites, and muted shades for a look that’s cozy and natural, but with an undeniable sense of flair.

She even has some advice for homeowners in Honolulu and beyond:

  • Always have a color scheme. When you go about decorating a room, you can always play with color to accessorize it. Try to pull in hues from either your interior color pallet or ones that will accentuate it.

  • Be adaptable in your use of colors. I chose shutters that are vibrant white and most of my furniture includes shades of gray, both weathered wood and fabric. So I chose to mix in pops of color and white accents.

Not only does Chelsey excel at using colors in her design, but her use of space in her home is great as well. From the chairs she uses that lead the eyes vertically to the wall and her classic shutters, to the way her shelving lines up perfectly under the window, Chelsey’s home is stylish, functional, and very livable without ever coming close to feeling cluttered.

As our contest winner for Fall, we’ll send Chelsey a gift card to a Boston-area restaurant, in addition to having her designs featured here. To see more of her work, visit her personal site at

And if you believe the shutters in your home look great enough to be a winner, share a photo on social media with the hashtag #ShareYourShutters. We want to see another Honolulu home featured as a winner!
